We talked about numbers and figures to underline the level of growth that e-commerce and online sales are achieving: growth of almost 21% globally has been estimated for 2015, and 8% for Italy. Numbers that obviously make us reflect on the future of e-commerce and its unstoppable growth. The intervention by the Netcomm Consortium illustrated a complete overview of the trend of these data and growth numbers at global level and at Italian level. As with any type of commercial activity, however, you must keep in mind that the main purpose is not just sales, but rather knowing your customers and satisfying their needs by responding to demand.

The main theme of this sixth edition was in fact "Knowing customers in the multi-channel era", that is, a sales and communication strategy through multiple channels that intertwine and collaborate with each other.

Among the numerous speeches of the day we highlight Marco Losito, FCA Group Marketing Manager who explained how the relationship between the real world and the virtual world can increase sales; Samuele Camatari, CEO of Jusan Network who obviously highlighted the fundamental aspects for the creation of a successful e-commerce also bringing many real success cases (presented by the companies mentioned), Luca Mastroianni, Country Manager of Prestashop Italia who illustrated the characteristics that have allowed Prestashop to become the reference community worldwide for e-commerce.

Furthermore, there were also interventions from companies such as Facebook, which is at the center of an online commerce strategy regarding multi-channel, and IBM which instead presented in detail a new form of Customer to Business (C2B) commerce.

Finally, I would also like to point out the part dedicated to start-ups, which have brought their personal experiences into the world of e-commerce, for the most varied commercial sectors: online wine sales (Doyouwine), bathroom furniture and accessories (Rubinetteria Shop), handmade bijoux (Raffaella De Angelis Creations), and finally collective online payments (Squeezol).

In short, a nice overview of all aspects relating to e-commerce and multi-channel in order to develop a successful sales strategy, to always satisfy the needs and requirements of the end customer.
