What is the Web Accessibility widget, in short?
It's a JavaScript component you add to the site with a simple snippet. It shows an accessibility icon: opening it, visitors adjust text, colors and reading tools without creating an account and without you having to change the code every time.
Does the widget replace a full accessibility audit?
No. It improves the experience for many users and covers several WCAG criteria, but it doesn't fix incorrect markup, missing alt text or videos without subtitles on its own. It's the ideal starting point for EAA compliance.
Does it work on any site?
Yes. Just add the snippet: it works regardless of the hosting and CMS, even if the site isn't on Host.it.
Do visitors need to sign up?
No. The settings chosen in the menu apply instantly and stay saved locally in the browser.
How do I activate the service?
