Does Host.it security only cover the web application?
No. We protect at multiple levels: physical infrastructure, server and network (firewall, IPS, WAF) and application (SSL, backups, replication). Protecting only the CMS isn't enough to truly safeguard an online business.
Which SSL certificates can I activate?
Hosting profiles offer free Let's Encrypt certificates, Alpha SSL, WildCard GlobalSign for a domain and subdomains, and Extended Validation with a green bar for maximum trust.
How does the WAF work on Host.it?
The Web Application Firewall filters traffic to popular applications and CMS, blocking known attack patterns. The NOC team updates defenses and, for zero-day threats, defines targeted signatures after daily analysis.
Is data replicated between data centers?
Yes. Data is replicated and synced between the Turin and Pisa data centers, keeping services running even in the event of a serious incident at one of the two sites.
Are Host.it shared hosting plans ACN qualified?
Host.it's shared hosting plans are among the cloud services qualified by the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN), in compliance with the paths set out for cloud providers.
Is HTTP/2 included in hosting plans?
