Frequently asked questions
How quickly is the VPS active?
Once you place the order from our control panel, the VPS will be active within 60 seconds.
How long is the VPS contract?
The minimum contract is 1 month with automatic renewal, which can be disabled 10 days before expiry.
Which operating systems are available?
All those listed on the product page and during VPS activation: we support most Linux operating systems and also Windows Server.
How can I connect to the VPS server?
During activation you can set a public SSH key (recommended), or a password for the root user. You can then connect with administrative privileges via SSH, and if needed via the web console available in the control panel.
What happens if I don't renew the VPS server?
The server is shut down on the expiry date and irreversibly destroyed after 10 days.
What kind of support is included with the VPS server?
Support covers the reachability of your server and the functions available through the control panel. Once delivered, the operating system and software installed on the VPS server are under your responsibility and management.
In which data center are VPS activated?
Currently in the Turin data center; soon you will be able to choose to activate VPS in the Pisa data center.
What resources are guaranteed for VPS servers?
The shared-CPU product does not guarantee assigned resources. We care about service quality, so hypervisors never work beyond 70% of their capacity.
Is high availability guaranteed on the VPS product?
On VPS Basic (shared CPU), high availability (HA) is not guaranteed. On VPS Premium, high availability is guaranteed, as stated in the technical features. For special requirements you can request a custom quote.
Which ports are open on my VPS?
VPS have all ports open to both inbound and outbound traffic.
Is a control panel like Plesk, cPanel or DirectAdmin included?
VPS are provided without a control panel. However, you have root access to the machine and can install any software you prefer, including a control panel.
