The problem

Why WordPress emails never arrive

By default WordPress uses the server’s mail() function. Without authenticated SMTP and aligned DNS records, notifications, forms and password resets land in spam — or never leave.

  • Unauthenticated sending

Without dedicated SMTP, many providers reject or filter messages generated by the CMS.

  • Incomplete DNS

Missing SPF, DKIM or DMARC means mail clients don’t trust the sender and push everything to spam.

  • No visibility

When a send fails, there’s often no useful trail left — hard to tell if it’s SMTP, DNS or the form plugin.
