E-commerce: How to Deal with Black Friday with SCALE and HOST

SCALE is a process that we will exhibit to the public this year for the first time from 19 to 30 November, precisely in the two weeks between Black Friday and Cyber Monday which I remind you are the "hot" days for e-commerce worldwide.

Who will the SCALE process apply to? To all our customers with a Host 4.0, Host 5.0 and Project Host profile who use one of these CMS: Prestashop, Woocommerce, Magento, VirtueMart.

SCALE will continuously measure the following parameters:

UPTIME, i.e. whether your site is visible or not;

SERVICE TIME, i.e. how long the website takes to respond;

PHP PROCESSES, i.e. the use of PHP processes on the server and any exhaustions, which can arrive precisely at peak times;

CPU TIME OF THE DATABASE SERVICE, a very important metric that can give us indications on any bottlenecks on the mysql database.

This data is analyzed by an algorithm which will identify changes in trends or anomalies. In the event of anomalies, an alert will be sent to one of our operators who will increase the resources dedicated to your site to ensure you always remain online, always visible and at the best performance.

Precisely due to the importance of Black Friday, during the weekend of November 23rd, our Customer Service will extend coverage beyond normal service hours. While our NOC will continue to ensure monitoring of all systems 24H/24H.

At the end of the two weeks, we will send a report on the traffic received by your e-commerce site, together with a series of strategic advice on how to best approach next year's Black Friday.

How much does SCALE cost? All this is INCLUDED in our Host 4.0, Host 5.0 plans and project-based Host profiles, because the security of being online is never an optional.

What do you have to do to join the SCALE program? If you are already a Host customer and have activated one of the profiles indicated above (Host 4.0, 5.0, project-based) you do not have to do absolutely anything. You will receive an email with the notification of inclusion in the program and your site will be automatically monitored with SCALE in the indicated period.
