But not only that, they randomly don't even access their email etc... what happens? "It's definitely a Joomlahost problem" (customers think).
After a few but intense checks, our technicians found that what had already happened on 5 February 2014 is happening, that is, that the Telecom Italia network (AS3269) had serious routing problems towards its only Upstream Provider (Telecom Italia Sparkle AS6762).
There's no point in trying to contact Telecom Italia, they don't respond, probably there wasn't even anyone there to handle the problem since it was a strike day.
Meanwhile, our customers continued to report problems, blaming us, because obviously "everything else works".
Everything else worked, yes, randomly, but certainly everything hosted by Telecom Italia was not affected by the problem or in any case those contents hosted by the few who gave in to stipulating a direct peering contract with Telecom after the national depeering occurred.
The problems only receded late on Monday 15th, users suffered a disservice, content providers (such as Joomlahost) suffered a disservice, content providers (such as Joomlahost) suffered image damage because they were not providing the content, but due to a problem with the user's connection provider.
