USING DOCKER FOR FAST AND EASY TESTING OF MARIADB AND MAXSCALE

The ability to replicate the production environment in an isolated test environment is a key factor in successfully upgrading or replacing any component in an infrastructure.

Before introducing a new technology and releasing components within a critical infrastructure, you must have a full and deep understanding of it. To achieve this type of experience it is essential to build and re-deploy a test environment quickly and easily.

At Colt Engine we experienced this situation when we decided to migrate all our hosting customers from MySQL 5.1 to MariaDB 10.

During the presentation our developers will show how they used Docker and its components to replicate our production infrastructure in a test environment and how these technologies were used to dramatically increase our experience and knowledge about MaxScale.

This is a very practical presentation that will show numerous real examples of how we achieved this know-how and how we put it into practice in a real-use situation for our company and our customers.
