Welcome Italia completes the acquisition of 51% of Colt Engine

Welcome Italia S.p.A. and Colt Engine S.r.l. announce the acquisition by Welcome Italia of 51% of the share capital of Colt Engine, an operator specialized in the provision of hosting and domain registration services.

The operation allows Welcome Italia to continue the path of development of a business network together with a strategic partner with long-term growth prospects and capable of supporting the increase in Welcome Italia's hosting services.

Colt Engine, founded in 2002, is known in Italy for the quality of services provided through its modern Data Center located in Turin and for the brands dnshosting.it, joomlahost.it and colt.academy, through which it manages over 40,000 domains.

Welcome Italia, founded in 1999, is a telecommunications operator that presents itself to the market with a single offering of services for businesses, called «Vianova», which integrates traditional network services (such as telephony and internet access) with advanced collaboration services such as Cloud, IP Centrex, Mail, Meeting, Drive, Conference Call, Fax, Proxy and Data Analysis services. Welcome Italia operates through two offices, Massarosa (LU) and Montacchiello (PI), where the two Data Centers are located (for a total of 2.5 Megawatts of power) which host the infrastructure for the provision of the services offered by the group.
