What are ISO certifications ISO certifications are regulated by an organization called ISO (International Organization for Standardization) which is responsible for defining and promulgating a series of voluntary technical standards to standardize and standardize company procedures and processes.
These standards oblige an organization that wishes to be certified to implement a series of company procedures and processes that ensure compliance with the requirements set out in each of these standards. Compliance with these requirements is verified by an independent Certification Body accredited by IAS (International Accreditation Service).
During the certification audit, an independent audit group, appointed by the Certification Body, carries out one or more inspection visits to the organization that intends to be certified, in order to verify the state of conformity of the company management system with respect to the ISO standards for which the organization wishes to obtain certification.
ISO 9001 Certification - Quality Management Systems The UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification is the first certification to have been introduced and deals with evaluating the quality management of a company's production processes.
In fact, it examines the company organisation, operational activities, analysis, management and monitoring of risks, all aimed at the continuous improvement of company performance and the quality of the goods and services provided.
ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018 Certification - Management Systems for Information Security The UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 27001:2017 certification evaluates the processes and technical and organizational measures aimed at guaranteeing information security. The certification ensures that the organization has implemented and adopted a series of internal procedures and policies that guarantee a high level of information protection in general, not only with regard to personal data, therefore it extends some of the obligations introduced by the GDPR.
Furthermore, the ISO/IEC 27017 and ISO/IEC 27018 guidelines add further control elements for as many technical and organizational measures regarding information security and the related model of shared responsibilities in relation to the provision of Cloud services.
Host's certifications Host, as part of its continuous improvement process, has chosen to implement an Integrated Management System for Quality and Information Security, restructuring the processes, procedures and company policies, in order to achieve the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 27001:2017 certifications, with the extensions ISO/IEC 27017:2017 and ISO/IEC 27018:2019, identifying the following as the scope of application of the certifications:
Design and supply of Cloud Computing and Cloud Storage services in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS modes. Data Center Services (hosting, dedicated servers, co-location, housing), Email, Internet domains, ICT consultancy.
Host therefore decided to include all its operational activities within the scope of the certification, ensuring that the company was involved at all levels in the review and continuous improvement of its production processes.
The audits at our headquarters and our data center in Turin took place in November 2022, certifying the compliance of our Integrated Management System with the relevant ISO standards.
Why choose hosting provided by a certified company Choosing an ISO certified hosting provider is a further guarantee of quality and security for a customer, since possession of certifications is a clear indication of the seriousness and verifiability of the company's work, its procedures and the technical and organizational measures implemented. Furthermore, an ISO certified company is under constant monitoring by the certification body which periodically carries out inspection audits to revalidate the compliance of the company management system according to international standards.
