The initiative made it possible to organize a presentation to students on Joomla!®, one of the most famous open source CMS in the world, with which around 200,000 sites have been created in Italy.
Professor Roselli, a teacher who is always attentive and updated on the world of the Web, felt it was important to bring to the Institute a testimony from an Italian company expert in the sector such as JoomlaHost, to delve deeper into some aspects that were discussed with the students during the last year of studies. On 10 May 2013 at the "G. Marconi" Institute, the CEO of JoomlaHost Marco Mangione and his collaborator Federico Nebiolo presented an overview of the world of Internet domains to the approximately 60 young people gathered in the main hall, focusing on the aspects of registration and creation of a website.
The students showed particular interest in the Back office part of Joomla!®, through which the site is organized and built starting from a simple template.
Another aspect that involved them was understanding the potential of the CMS through which it is possible to create blogs, photo galleries, e-commerce pages and much more, using thousands of free components and modules on the Web.
"Everyone needs a site", this is the idea that Marco Mangione brought to the students, trying to impress upon them the importance of knowing aspects of the world of the Web, not only as users but also as future professionals who can find work as creators and managers of websites.
Furthermore, the presence of Mr. Mangione, who founded his company at just 22 years old, demonstrates to students that with commitment, dedication and a careful vision of market needs, one can believe in a project and realize it, building a future for oneself.
Professor Roselli, interviewed after the presentation, confirms that he wants to continue to bring young people closer to the world of work with real initiatives, which allow them to create contacts with companies that revolve around the world of information technology and automation.
The objective is to create a synergy between their school and companies, in order to create the profile of the technician of the IIS "G.Marconi" of Dalmine, corresponding as much as possible with what the current and future job market requires.
This is only possible if the school remains aligned with the know-how of the advanced and constantly evolving technological tools used in companies.
Projects like this mean that school can be not only an educational experience, but also gives students ideas on possible future professions.
