The communication will be sent to the administrative email contact (admin-c) of the domain and will require approval of the correctness of the recorded data, i.e. name, surname and email address associated with it, via a link contained in the information received.
The request for validation of the registrant/holder's email address will be sent in the following cases:
new domain registration
change domain holder (name and surname)
At the following link you can check the data of the domain registrant: http://www.tucowsdomains.com/whois
The international registry (OpenSRS) will send an email to the registrant's address containing a link on which the holder must click to validate the data and accept the terms and conditions.
Validation must take place within 15 days of sending the first communication. In case of failure to validate, the international registry (OpenSRS) will be forced to suspend the domain by placing it in the "Client Hold" status: the domain will remain registered but all the services connected to it (for example DNS, www, e-mail) will stop working. We recommend that you carry out this operation as it is extremely important to validate the registrant's email and make sure that a valid and functioning email is always indicated.
In case of failure to confirm, the validation email will be resent after 5, 10, 13 days. The last two mailings will also be delivered to the billing and technical contact addresses, but only the registrant will be able to validate his email address.
