cPanel updates the pricing policy again

At the end of last week, the most famous hosting management panel therefore released further statements in this regard, thanking users for the numerous feedback received.

cPanel takes a partial backtrack, recognizing that it has underestimated the extent of the changes and the consequent adjustments by partners, resellers and users.

So let's see what changes in detail compared to what was announced on June 27th.

Partner Implementation Support Recognizing that account-based pricing requires adjustments by Partners, cPanel is offering to facilitate the transition to the new model by applying a one-time credit to your invoice issued on September 15, 2019 up to a maximum of $10,000.

WHMCS automates billing for the new licensing model For those already using WHMCS the transition to the new model will be even easier as new functionality will be available to support the new pricing and licensing structure. For 30 days after the release of this feature, however, you will continue to pay with the current pricing structure.

For partners not yet using WHMCS, cPanel is offering up to 12 months of free WHMCS licensing to simplify the transition to the new licensing/pricing model.

New "cPanel Plus Cloud" Package (50 accounts) cPanel also announces the addition of a new 50 account "Plus" package available to Partners at a price of $25/month, for those customers who do not yet require a 100 account package.

Fixed Price Packages Partial backtracking on additional accounts at $0.20. cPanel introduces fixed-price Premier packages starting from 100 accounts and in increments from 50 accounts (e.g. 150, 200, 250, etc.) for those customers where automatic scaling is not adequate. The prices of the fixed price packages are discounted compared to the "auto-scale" version.

Credits for non-payment of cPanel licenses If the end customer does not pay for their cPanel license, the Partner will be able to request a service credit of up to one month via Manage2 for each individual license.

cPanel Direct Customers cPanel Solo licenses available again The removal of cPanel Solo (Cloud) licenses has been reconsidered and will be available again in the store. The monthly price will be $15. This type of license will no longer be convertible to the Admin package.

Extension of annual licenses cPanel is also extending annual licenses expiring between June 27 and July 20, 2019 to facilitate the transition to the new pricing model. Direct customers will have until July 21, 2019 to choose the new type of license.

Simplifying the Process to Become a Partner The company is also announcing major updates to the cPanel Store aimed at simplifying how to apply to become a cPanel Partner. The new store is expected to be available in August and will offer discounts to bulk account holders with prices starting at $0.10 per account.
