Joomla! courses Base, translated into Italian Sign Language (LIS)

His great passion for IT, often shared with deaf children, gave him the inspiration to write to us, proposing himself as a LIS interpreter at Joomla!® Base courses.

JoomlaHost wanted to meet him in person. From the chat with him we understood how much he cared about this project and we tried to create a collaboration to make it happen.

Davide, having a deaf mother, has frequented deaf adults and children since he was a child and realized how wonderful it would be to extend many activities to the world of the deaf. He has collaborated in the past with schools and institutes to support teachers in teaching deaf children and for him it was an experience full of satisfactions that filled his heart.

Now he would like to use his great passion for IT and the web, combined with LIS, to share this experience with the deaf.

JoomlaHost, in collaboration with Davide, built a part of the site in LIS to explain in detail the program of the Joomla!® Basic course and provide all the information necessary to participate.

Starting from the Joomla! course Base in Naples which will be held in September 2013, Davide Adamo will work alongside our expert Joomla!® teachers to translate the course into LIS.

The course will be held regularly by our teachers and Davide, who has known Joomla!® for some time, will simultaneously translate what the teacher indicates into LIS.

This is just the first step and the first of many other initiatives that JoomlaHost will carry out to bring the greatest number of contents from the world of the web closer to the deaf.
