CMS Manager: new version compatible with the update to Joomla! 3.5.x

With the release of the new version of Joomla! , 3.5 to be precise, the dynamics of updating the CMS core have changed. This change caused the CMS Manager to be temporarily incompatible with the new version of Joomla!

Following this bug, our Research & Development team got to work to make the use of the CMS Manager available again to update the Joomla! core. After having performed all the functioning and compatibility tests, we can release the new version of the CMS Manager compatible with version 3.5 of Joomla!

Since yesterday it is once again possible to perform upgrades via the CMS Manager to version 3.5.x of Joomla!, but WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND updating the CMS Manager component FIRST and only then performing the upgrade.

However, with this new version of the CMS Manager the possibility of performing the backup integrated with the component has been disabled (for mainly technical and security reasons).

From today, with the new version of the CMS Manager, it will NO longer be possible to perform a backup before carrying out an update. But don't worry, we have already thought about how to meet your backup requests.

In the event that you encounter any problems arising from the Joomla! core update and/or extensions installed with the new version of the CMS Manager, we will immediately make a free restore available upon request to our Customer Service.

The backups will be available according to a very specific policy that allows you to always have the data of the last 10 days plus the previous 3 months available. Let's see a practical example: if a request arrives today, 13 April 2016, you will have daily backups from 3 to 13 April plus backups for the whole of April (therefore until the first of the month), March and February.
