Password: UPDATES! No problems with the CMS Manager

News, notices, posts on social channels... we did our best to spread the news among Joomla!® users so that they were informed of the release of the new version and could proceed with updating their sites.

On Friday morning, just two days later, the Joomla!® team announces the release of a new stable version, 3.4.3. This is in effect a maintenance update that resolves 9 technical problems arising from the previous update.

The release of a maintenance update so soon, in some cases, happens when unfortunately there are no users available to test the changes made by the Joomla!® developers (as well as many other CMS). The Joomla!® community has a large number of users, but very often few of these carry out tests on RC (Release Candidate) versions before the official releases of new core versions and this can lead to having to make changes to newly released versions.

Our invitation is therefore addressed to all of you, Joomla!® users, and is to test the RC versions to report any problems and bugs to the developers and be able to resolve them before the official releases, in a total Community vision!

We remind you that the RC versions of Joomla!® are available online and accessible to all those interested in carrying out tests.

TEST, first of all! Connecting to the discussion of the importance of tests to be carried out before official releases, both of the entire Joomla! core and of individual components, we return to the news published on the release of our CMS Manager.

Imagine how much time users will have spent behind the release of these Joomla!® core updates, especially all those users who manage third-party sites, such as web agencies with their clients' websites. So we once again underline the need to save time (and money) in monitoring all Joomla!® updates (core and extensions) by users. There is only one solution for you and it is called CMS Manager: a single component which, downloaded and installed on your Joomla!® sites, will allow you to manage and monitor (via email notifications) all the updates present for the Joomla!® core and the extensions present on your sites. The release of the CMS Manager took place following a specific testing procedure, which led us to select a team of users, "Beta Testers", who made themselves available to test the component to report any bugs, improvements and problems. Once we received feedback from our Beta Tester Team, we proceeded to fix the bugs and implement the improvements, some of which have already been included in the lineup for the release of the next version of the CMS Manager.

Close collaboration with our users has allowed us to carry out accurate tests and also respond to the direct needs of those who use Joomla!® and constantly need to monitor core and extension updates.

We therefore take this opportunity to thank our Beta Testers for supporting us in the very important testing phase and invite you, Joomla!® users, to download and use the CMS Manager and leave us your feedback to have the opportunity to improve this component which will allow you to no longer worry about finding out when and if there will be new updates available because... we'll let you know!
